Overview: One of the region's earliest ferry-crossing sites, Galivants Ferry features a collection of historic structures from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is also the site of the Galivants Ferry Stump Meeting, a Democrat Party political event that began with the 1876 election of former Confederate General Wade Hampton.
