J.W. Dillon House Museum

The J.W. Dillon House Museum is the restored, early 20th century home of the founder of Dillon County, J.W. Dillon, a prominent local businessman who helped bring the railroad to Dillon County.

Site Description
The home of James W. Dillon, recognized as the founder of Dillon County, the J.W. Dillon House Museum is restored and furnished to reflect its early 20th century habitation. An Irish immigrant, Dillon was a successful local businessman who helped bring the railroad to Dillon County in the late 19th century. Many of the furnishings belonged to the Dillon family. The home consists of a parlor, dining room, sitting room, office, and five bedrooms with an attached kitchen. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
